Academic Coaching

  • Success in school is achieved through a dedicated effort, focused attention, the acquired skill to absorb information, employing proper study habits, learning test-taking techniques.  ADI offers opportunities for obtaining assistance in academic areas that do not come naturally to the student.
  • Beginning in middle school, the student athlete can learn to balance academic demands with sports requirements, social interests and family commitments to excel and reach their full potential.
  • If the goal is to participate in a sport in college, successful academic habits developed in middle school will create the best opportunity to blend athletic performance with academic achievement  to help arrive at the most appropriate college fit for each individual student athlete.

College Counseling

  • There are over 1,000 four-year colleges and many local community and junior colleges that have varsity sports teams.  The options are extensive for each individual student athlete who wants to experience playing a sport in college.
  • Participating on sports team in college can be an enriching experience that can either lead to advanced participation or compliment the selection of a post graduate career if properly planned and executed.
  • ADI offers services to assist the student athlete and his/her parents in the increasingly complex life altering decision-making process of selecting the best college fit, which is intensified when considering sports participation as well.

Career Guidance

  • A college sports career can be combined with a course of study to help identify the type of career a student athlete pursues.
  • The rigors and accomplishments accompanying a college athletic career can assist in identifying and landing in an appropriate post-graduate career whether it is pursuing advanced sports involvement or a lifelong career matching the passion and abilities of the student athlete.
  • Successful participation in a college sport while simultaneously experiencing academic achievement can signify to a potential employer the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, set and achieve specific goals, and work productively in a team environment.
  • The ADI Career Guidance counselors work with interested student athletes to combine their academic course of study with their specific skills, interests and motivation to identify and counsel a career path.
