Mark
Williams - Director for Human Performance
Mark has been a highly respected strength and conditioning coach for over 10 years during which time he has worked with athletes in every sport developing his own unique philosophy on how to achieve peak performance while reducing the risk of overuse injuries.
Over the past decade, Mark has worked with soccer athletes at all levels of the game from club to the professional level. His high profile clientele includes such notables as Tim Howard (Goalkeeper of US National Team and Everton FC), MLS athletes, Jon Conway and Juan Pablo Angel of NY Red Bull, Heather O’Reilly (WPS and US National Team), Nikki Krzysik (WPS and US U23 National Team), and Karina LeBlanc, goalkeeper for the Canadian Women’s National Team and WPS LA Sol.
Mark was the strength and conditioning coach for the New York Metrostars (currently NY Red Bulls) for three seasons, the WPS Champion NY/NJ Sky Blue in 2009 and the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League for 3 seasons.
Since ADI has opened Mark has worked with and developed sports specific strength and speed programs
for athletes in most sports including baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, fencing, football, golf, field hockey, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, rugby, soccer, tennis, swimming/diving, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.
Mark’s reputation for getting results with his athletes is well documented and he heads the training staff that works with ADI skills coaches from all sports to develop personalized strength, power, speed and agility programs for ADI student athletes.
Mark’s programs are offered one on one, in small groups, and to entire teams to effectively integrate the ability to perform the skills of the sport for optimum performance and the avoidance of injuries. Mark also trains coaches on the use of speed activities for warm-up at practice and provides second phase rehab programs for injured athletes preparing to return to play. |
Paul
Blodgett - Director of Goalkeeper Academy
Paul was the founder of the highly successful
Paul Blodgett Goalkeeper Training School which
is known for its high level training of goalkeepers
at all age groups including youth, college, professional
and world class keepers. The school was the culmination
of over thirty years of coaching and teaching
experience at the position and its success further
solidifies Paul’s reputation as the top
goalkeeper trainer in the State of New Jersey.
Paul coached the goalkeepers at Rutgers University
Men’s team and for over twenty years and
has worked with the TCNJ Women’s team make
the keeper position a cornerstone of each program.
Paul is the Director of Girls Goalkeeping for
NJ Youth Soccer and also on the NJ ODP staff.
Paul is also a part of the License Coaching Staff
of both NJYS and US Youth Soccer. He has trained
the likes of Jon Conway, keeper with Red Bull
NY and Karina LeBlanc, keeper for the Canadian
Women’s National Team and the WPS LA Sol.
Paul has worked with countless clubs and high
schools throughout New Jersey and has trained
hundreds of goalkeepers each year.
As Director of the ADI Goalkeeper Academy, Paul
directs the comprehensive programming that includes,
technical skills training, tactical challenge
sessions, fitness development, sports psychology
and nutrition integration, college selection
guidance and career counseling. Goalkeeper sessions
are held privately, in small groups, in seminars,
and specialty camps.
In addition to his leadership of the ADI Goalkeeper
Academy, Paul utilizes his decades of advising
high school student athletes on the selection
of the “best fit” college to provide
advice and counsel to ADI high school student
athletes. |

Keith Byard
Keith Byard has spent more than 40 years as
a competitor and coach in the sport of wrestling.
The NJ State Wrestling and Somerville High School
Hall of Famer won numerous championships throughout
his school years before wrestling for NJ Hall
of Fame coach John Sacchi at Middlesex County
College.
As a member of US Marine Wrestling team, Keith
was a 4 time Marine Wrestling Champion winning
countless awards for outstanding performances
including finishing 3rd in the Military World
Championships in Paris, France in 1983. Keith’s
outstanding wrestling career culminated as an
Olympic Qualifier for the 1984 Olympic Games.
As a wrestling coach Keith has spent 12 years
coaching in top New Jersey programs such as Somerville
High School, Middlesex County College, and Orchard
Wrestling Club, as well as, the USA Wrestling
NJ State team.
Since 1979, Keith has been at the forefront
of the fitness revolution. He utilized his background
in Wrestling and the Marines to develop a unique
style of training which helps adults to become
stronger, leaner and healthier. As creator of
Byard Bootcamp Class and MTV’s Advanced
Total Body Workout, Keith has led participants
at some of New York’s
largest Fitness Facilities, such as Chelsea Piers
and Reebok Sports Club. Having owned and operated
his own club, Keith has been recognized by Allure
Magazine, Shape Magazine and the New York Times
as an innovator and motivator.
As a personal trainer, Keith has been credited
with getting high profile personalities such
as Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, and Vivica Fox
into the level of fitness that has attracted
vast media attention.
Keith will have a dual role on the ADI Faculty
utilizing his vast experience, tremendous insight
and boundless energy to mentor young wrestlers
on how to utilize their passion for the sport
along with academic achievement to eventually
help select the right fit college for them. Additionally,
Keith will serve as a leader of adults who seek
an active and healthy lifestyle. |
 Toni-Anne
Cavallo - College of New Jersey
Toni-Anne Cavallo, a two-time NCAA Lacrosse 1st Team All-American, was a four
year, two-sport athlete (women’s soccer and lacrosse) at The College of
New Jersey. During her successful TCNJ career she won two NCAA Lacrosse National
Championships, making an impressive six NCAA final four appearances (three in
lacrosse, three in soccer).
In 2009, Cavallo began her Lacrosse coaching career as an Assistant Coach for
The College of New Jersey under the guidance of National Lacrosse Hall of Fame
Coach Sharon Pflughar.
In addition to her faculty position teaching Lacrosse skills at ADI, Cavallo
has been a coach for T3 Lacrosse, a prominent lacrosse program throughout NJ
for all age levels and abilities. She currently works as a head T3 Elite Team
Coach and operates year round camps and clinics.
Cavallo is a 2008 TCNJ graduate with a degree in Health & Physical Education
and a minor in Marketing. Along with pursuing a career in education, Cavallo,
will serve as a mentor to ADI athletes. Having coached athletes from elementary
school to advanced collegiate varsity players, Cavallo utilizes her extensive
experiences on and off the field to modify programs to the personalized skill
level of the small ADI training groups. |
Beth Gottung
Head Field Hockey Coach, Montclair State University
The most successful head coach in the history of the Montclair State field hockey program, Beth Gottung completed her eight season with the Red Hawks in 2009, having won nearly 75% of her games and leading MSU to postseason play each season.
Gottung graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history from American International College in Springfield, MA in 2000. She earned her master’s degree in American Studies from Trinity in July 2002. At AIC, Gottung was a four-year letter winner and a three-year captain in field hockey, and a three-year letter winner and one-year captain in lacrosse. She earned Northeast-10 All-Conference honors in field hockey in 1999, and was selected as an Academic All-American following the 1997 and 1999 field hockey seasons and the 1999 lacrosse campaign.
Gottung was awarded an ECAC Merit Medal in 2000 and earned awards at American International for excellence in civics, history and education as an undergraduate.
Beth will be providing Field Hockey skills instruction as well as insight into the nuances of the game to high school and middle school Field Hockey players. Working in conjunction with other ADI Faculty she will provide guidance to those players seeking to advance in the sport.

Leslie LaFronz
Rapid Fire Field Hockey
Coach LaFronz has over thirty years of coaching
and playing experience at the collegiate, club,
high school and recreational levels. She
launched Rapid Fire Field Hockey in 2006 to offer
quality field hockey opportunities to players
of all ages and abilities.
Coach LaFronz attended Northwestern University
on a full field hockey scholarship, making four
NCAA Division I appearances, one Final Four appearance,
and was named to the First Team All-Big Ten Defensive
Squad on Northwestern’s number two nationally
ranked team. She was also a member of Northwestern’s
nationally ranked lacrosse team, where she made
three NCAA Division I Tournament appearances.
After graduation, she worked on Wall Street before
leaving to coach full-time, first at the High
School level before moving to the collegiate
level in 2003 launching the inaugural Field Hockey
program at Ramapo College. After five years
at collegiate level she chose to devote her career
full-time to Rapid Fire Club and developmental
hockey. Coach LaFronz was a long-time United
States Olympic Development Futures Coach.
Coach LaFronz brings her dynamic approach to
teaching and mentoring Field Hockey players to
ADI student athletes interested in advancing
to the next level. |
Victor Ochieng
Rapid Fire Field Hockey
Coach Victor Ochieng is the lead coach at Rapid
Fire. As a player, he competed at the highest
level with the Kenyan National Hockey Team in
the 1988 Seoul Olympics in the midst of an international
playing career in Europe, Asia and Africa from. Coach
Ochieng started his coaching career in 1989 and
is designated as a certified Level II Coach by
the IOC. He was recruited by the Sliders
Ladies Hockey Club to develop high school players,
mentor and motivate college hockey players and
provide opportunities for college players and
college graduates to excel in the sport locally
and overseas.
For nearly 2 decades Coach Ochieng has led a distinguished international and
well as U.S. coaching career while continuing his professional engineer practice
where he holds a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. (abd) in Civil Engineering. Coach
Ochieng is an ideal mentor, instructor and motivator for ADI student athletes
who want to combine academic achievement with athletic development. |
 Warren
Raatz - Princeton NJ
Warren Raatz is a “Class-A” PGA Teaching Professional with a deep-rooted
understanding of the mechanics and techniques of golf. Warren’s specialty
is a comprehensive interpretation of the cause and effects of the golf swing
along with the intricacies of the short game.
Warren has the unique ability to convey his understanding of the game to individual
golfers at all skill levels, from PGA professionals to first-time students. At
ADI Warren will focus on student athlete golfers while also engaging the adult
golfers who seek his teaching methodology.
Warren routinely interacts with ADI fitness and strength trainers to develop
a personalized work out program that will increase strength and the physical
ability to perform at the highest level possible for each individual athlete.
Warren has an easily recognizable passion for the “science” of golf
and has acquired a powerful teaching methodology that discovers “what works” for
each athlete.
Warren currently serves as an instructor at the Academy of Golf at Royce Brook
Country Club in Hillsborough, NJ. Warren has taught numerous PGA professionals
and has been often nominated for teacher of the year throughout his 20+ year
career. Previously, Warren taught in the prestigious Academy of Golf at PGA National
and Cyrpus Creek Country Club in Florida following his introduction to golf instruction
at the Kennett Square Country Club in Chester County, PA. |
Noel Rubin
Ice Hockey Coach, Administrator & Consultant
Noel Rubin has spent the past decade as an Ice
Hockey coach and administrator following a successful
playing career at the college, club and minor
league level (CHL and WCHL). Noel
holds advanced coaching certificates and integrates
the educational and competitive values promoted
by USA Hockey into practical developmental programming
for youth participants.
Noel is currently the Boys Hockey Director for
the extremely successful New Jersey Colonials
where he coordinates the activities for twenty-six
competitive teams. Noel serves as a consultant
to the ADI Strength and Human Performance faculty
on how to best provide dry land training to complement
on-ice practice and games for maximum benefit
for youth ice hockey players. |
Brian Sentowski
Montclair State University Men's Soccer Coach
Brian Sentowski has led Montclair State University
Men’s Soccer team to a .795 winning percentage
and a frequent top 20 national ranking since
2002.
As a player at Rutgers University,
he was team captain and four year Atlantic 10
All-Conference team selection prior to playing
professionally for 6 years in the USISL and A
League. In
high school on Long Island, Sentowski was an
All-American player and spent time on the Under
20 National Team.
Currently Sentowski has worked closely with
the NJ Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program
while also providing small group skills instruction
to student athletes at ADI.

 Laura
Brand Sias
Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Rutgers University
Since 2003 Laura Brand Sias has been the head coach of the Rutgers women’s lacrosse program developing an outstanding reputation as Division I powerhouse on the field and academic excellence for her student athletes off the field.
Brand-Sias’s had immediate success upon taking the lead at Rutgers and was recognized as the BIG EAST Coach of the Year after just one season in the position. Prior to Rutgers, she was the head coach at Fairfield University and an assistant coach at Rutgers University.
As a player Brand-Sias was a 4 year letter winner for the Scarlet Knights (1996-99) and was also a member of the Canadian National Lacrosse Team from 1999-2004.
In addition to teaching Lacrosse skills courses at ADI, Brand-Sias operates the Brand Elite, L.L.C., where she serves as the President and CEO, running various lacrosse camps and clinics throughout the summer.
Brand-Sias received a dual bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology from Rutgers University in 1999, and she is currently pursuing a degree in the Sports Psychology Doctoral program at Rutgers. She and her husband Jim Sias reside in Somerset, N.J. |
Jim Stagnitta
Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Rutgers University
Since 2001, Jim Stagnitta has led the men’s
lacrosse team at Rutgers University, becoming one
of the top lacrosse coaches in the country while
establishing the program as one of the nation's
elite. Stagnitta has produced
successful players on the field with a focus
on academic achievement and has been active in
the development of the youth Lacrosse through
his MVP Lacrosse program.
After starring in Lacrosse for the Penn Quakers
and graduating with a bachelor’s degree
in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania,
Stagnitta coached at both the high school and
collegiate level (including 2 years as an assistant
with U of P) for 16 years before assuming the
leadership of the Rutgers program. Just
prior to Rutgers, Stagnitta had 12 consecutive
winning seasons at Washington & Lee University,
winning more than 75% of his games.
As a player, Stagnitta was a 3-year letter winner
and starting defenseman leading the Quakers to
two Ivy League Championships and consecutive
NCAA Tournament appearances.
Jim
now brings the MVP Lacrosse Program to ADI with the objective of teaching,
guiding and mentoring youth lacrosse players in small groups on the fundamental
skills needed to advance in the sport.
The MVP Lacrosse Program at ADI is also led by Jim Rogalski and Jason Basso:
Jim Rogalski has been coaching lacrosse on the collegiate level since receiving
his bachelor’s degree in Biology from St. Mary’s College (MD)
in 1997. Currently the Associate Head Coach at Rutgers University
and Assistant Director of MVP Lacrosse Camps, Rogalski has focused on the
development of Lacrosse skills in players at all ages.
Jason Basso has been coaching Lacrosse on the collegiate level since he graduated
from Rutgers University in 2002 as a two-year letter winner. Jason
was a defense and long-stick midfielder for the Scarlet Knights.

Randy Velischek
Ice Hockey Coach & Trainer
Randy Velischek played 13 years of professional
hockey, 10 of which were spent in the NHL
with the NJ Devils, Quebec Nordiques and Minnesota
North Stars. He has more than 25 years of experience
directing & coaching youth hockey camps and
clinics for players of all ages and skills and
is currently the head coach of the Morristown
Beard Ice Hockey team. Coach Velischek
also provides private lessons for aspiring Ice
Hockey players and operates camps at Twin Oaks
Ice Rink.
Randy works closely with ADI strength, speed
and agility faculty to coordinate the dry land
training activities with the proper Ice Hockey
skills techniques for ADI student athletes.

Richard
Bahner - CareerDNA
Richard Bahner is a Global Change Leader with 30 years of expertise in individual coaching, advising multi-cultural teams on professional development issues, guiding people with personal branding, communications, and managing career change.
Mr. Bahner has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the US while assuming various field and corporate positions with PepsiCo, AT&T, Citibank, and Deutsche Bank. His specialty has been in facilitating culture change and implementing new strategies to grow the global businesses while helping their management understand how to change and become comfortable with the change process.
Currently Mr. Bahner is helping guide the launch of CareerDNA, a web-based self analysis tool that helps people understand how they can effectively manage career and personal change based on their interests, personality and temperament.
Mr. Bahner holds an MBA in Management from Loyola University and a BS in Human Resources from Pennsylvania State University. He has authored articles in various journals on the issue of managing change and teaches a Human Resources Strategy Course at New York University’s Graduate School Program.
Mr. Bahner will be focused on guiding ADI college athletes on their career path as well as assisting High School student athletes on matching curriculum selection to their potential career strengths.

Tom Bilella
Founder and Director of the Nutrition
Treatment Center
Tom Bilella is Founder and Director of the Nutrition
Treatment Center. He is a Certified Nutritional
Specialist, Certified Clinical Nutritionist and
Diplomat of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition.
Bilella holds a Masters degree in Human Nutrition
from the University of Bridgeport and a post-graduate
degree in Chiropractic.
Bilella’s understanding of the relationship
between nutrition and sports performance has
resulted in his being selected as a nutrition
consultant to the NFL New York Jets as well as
the Athlete Development Institute where he provides
sports nutrition education, guidance, counseling
and motivation for ADI athletes.

Hugh McDonald
- College Planner
Mr. McDonald is a former US Air Force DLI - Russian language studies specialist who has been a college planner since 1993. As a small business owner with several financial planning licenses and former Associate Member of the NJ Financial Administrators, Mr. McDonald specializes in assisting CPA’s and small business owners plan for college for their families.
As a multi-state "CPA CPE" HR, Mr. McDonald presents hundreds of seminars
and workshops each year to a wide range of parents seeking guidance on the daunting
task of selecting a college for their son or daughter.
The focus of the College Selection Program at ADI is to identify the""Best" College
for the student athlete while reducing college costs by 0%-30%-60%. As part of
the program, assistance can be provided for college preparation and sports team
participation for interested student athletes.

David Pilchman
, Ph.D. – NJ Peak Performance
As a sport psychologist, Dr. David Pilchman is committed to bringing “values
based” performance excellence to athletes and teams of all levels. His
work with professional, college, high school, and junior competitors assists
them in achieving full potential.
Dr. Dave has been credited with being an instrumental part of numerous team successes
with many of the New Jersey area colleges including Rutgers, The College of New
Jersey, Princeton, Seton Hall, Monmouth, St. Peters and Farleigh Dickinson.

Extending outside of the region, Dr. Dave has also been called upon by Lafayette,

Over the past two decades, Dr. Dave has worked with men and women in a wide variety
of sports including soccer, lacrosse, football, wrestling, basketball, volleyball,
golf, baseball, softball, equestrian, archery, and track and field.
Dr. Dave has also authored the training CD: “The Enlightened Warrior: An
Athlete’s Guide to Winning.” |
