Behavioral
Training
- Sports Psychology – group and individual
sessions to empower the individual student
athlete to master the mental side of sports
while overcoming any problem areas
- Sports Nutrition – group and individual
sessions to educate student athletes about
the importance of proper eating habits and
integrating a successful meal plan surrounding
training and competition
- Mental Skills Training – learning to
be a productive team member and staying in
the circle of areas under the individual student
athlete’s control
- Parent Education – enlightening parents
as to how best to support their son or daughter
while interacting with coaches, teammates,
practice and the various aspects of competition
Academic
- Life Skills Training
- Academic Coaching – success in school
is achieved through a dedicated effort, focused
attention, the acquired skill to absorb information,
employing proper study habits, learning test-taking
techniques. ADI offers opportunities for obtaining
assistance in academic areas that do not come
naturally to the student. Beginning in middle
school, the student athlete can learn to balance
academic demands with sports requirements,
social interests and family commitments to
excel and reach their full potential. If the
goal is to participate in a sport in college,
successful academic habits developed in middle
school will create the best opportunity to
blend athletic performance with academic achievement
to help arrive at the most appropriate college
fit for each individual student athlete.
- College Counseling – with over 1,000
four year colleges and many local community
and junior colleges available, the options
are extensive for each individual student athlete
who wants to experience playing a sport in
college. Participating on sports team in college
can be an enriching experience that can either
lead to advanced participation or compliment
the selection of a post graduate career if
properly planned and executed. ADI offers services
to assist the student athlete and his/her parents
in the increasingly complex life altering decision-making
process of selecting the best college fit,
which is intensified when considering sports
participation as well.
- Career Guidance – A college sports
career can be combined with a course of study
to help identify the type of career a student
athlete pursues. The rigors and accomplishments
accompanying a college athletic career can
assist in identifying and landing in an appropriate
post-graduate career whether it is
